The Astral Project
That same client who once demanded I work with a beer in my hand also likes to push the boundaries, walk a fine line and skirt the rules of what makes a beer a beer. He calls it The Astral Project. I call it a great deal of fun in Illustrator.
It’s not very often you get to sit down with a beer and a set of Derwent Coloursoft 72 pencils and get to work. Not very often at all. It has been so long since I last actually did that. It was easier to use a couple of Photoshop brushes to mimic the ‘pencil on paper’ effect. The beer is ever present though. Contractually I am obligated to drink the beer. I made a promise to the client. The things I endure to get the job done.
